Josep Cirera

Josep Cirera Balcells received his B.E. in Electronic and Automation Engineering from the Polytechnical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2012. The same year, he started working in Corporació Alimentaria Guissona (CAG) where he is still serving as engineer. He received his M.Sc. in Electronic and Automation Engineering from the UPC, Terrassa, Spain, in 2016. Josep is currently an Industrial Ph.D. student in the Electronic Engineer Department in the Motion Control and Industrial Applications (MCIA) group. The Ph.D. thesis is applied to the company where he works and his research interests include intelligent energy management by means of machine learning and data driven technics applied to the evaluation, modelling and operation optimization of energy systems.
