Vicenç Sala

Vicent Sala was born in Valencia, Spain, in 1978. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electronic engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Terrassa, Spain, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. In 2000, he was the responsible of the Electronic Department in Twistechnology SL. In 2006, he was the responsible of the R+D Department in INGESCO Lightning Protection Systems. In 2001, he joined in the faculty of Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) as an Assistant Professor. He is currently a member of the MCIA Research Center of the Electronic Department (UPC). He is finishing his Ph.D related to the high efficiency multilevel power converters. He has participated in several national and international research projects, and he is author of more than twenty technical papers and he is the holder of five patents. His research interests include modeling and control of power converters, multilevel converters, SiC technologies, resonant converters, fault tolerant converters, power quality&efficiency and switching audio power amplifiers and high efficiency power-pulsed converters. Vicent Sala is member of IEEE, Audio Engineering Society (AES) and IEICE Technical and Scientific societies, and he is accredited as a TÜVRheinland technical expert for national R+D+i projects certification.
